Flats. Designed by G. L. Sutcliffe, 1913. Brick in Flemish bond with stone dressings. Hipped roofs of tiles; wood railings and porches. Leaded casement lights of an authentic design; doors of authentic design as well. Designed in a simplified Tudor revival manner, on a U-shaped plan, and articulated into two courtyards, the transition marked by a hipped and tower-like stair range. Two storeys with a variety of dormers. Stair halls in end pavilions, at centre of north end, which is marked by a gabled dormer; stairs also in corners set behind a canted range. Continuous arcading to courtyard, with elliptical-arched openings, the top with parapetted walkway. High stacks of brick. Although the design of rear elevations is more modest, it has definite character and interest.
