GV II

House, now partly surgery. Mid C18. Flemish bond brick with tuck pointing, stone dressings, party wall stacks and tiled roof. STYLE: Mid Georgian. PLAN: double-depth. EXTERIOR: 3 storeys; 5-window range. Symmetrical front has a thin brick cornice and parapet, good timber doorcase with architrave, dentil cornice broken forward with cast-iron cresting, pulvinated frieze, panelled reveals and soffit, and door with 6 raised panels and 3-pane overlight; a left-hand service doorway has a rubbed brick segmental-arched double boarded door. Rubbed brick flat arches to 6/6-pane sashes in flush frames, 3/3-pane second-floor sashes, and some plate-glass sashes. INTERIOR: central early C19 dogleg stair with stick balusters, column newels, with steps down to a rear full-width room with central rear doorway. Mid-late C19 fireplaces.
