Early C16 timber frame and plaster on stone foundations. A regular 2-storey
block with central moulded wood arched gateway containing original studded
door. Above the entrance is a projecting gabled bay carried on soffit
timbers and curved brackets, This has a moulded wood mullioned and transomed
8-light window above a plaster cove, and the gable-head has enriched barge
boards. The main block has 4 moulded wood windows, the upper ones mullioned
3-lights with transoms and pediments, all C17. The upper storey of the
sides oversails. Substantial stone wings of 1912 in good "Tudor" style.
All listed buildings at, and including, Besford Court, form a group.
