II

Public House. C17, with later alterations. Ground floor pebbledashed, first floor red brick in a mixed, but largely English, bond. Plain tile roof. Lobby-entry plan of 3 timber-framed bays. 2 storeys. Hipped roof. Multiflue brick stack between left end and left-central bays, and projecting red and grey brick stack to right gable end. Irregular fenestration of 3 three-light casements; one to left and two to right of stack. Blocked window under stack. Segmental heads to ground-floor windows. Ribbed door in brick porch with half-glazed plain-tile roof under stack. Low C20 brick lean-to to left gable end. Interior: only partly inspected. Chamfered axial beam and joists to each bay on ground floor. Brick fireplaces, each with wooden bressumer.
