Cottage. C17, extended to rear and incorporated into stable block designed
by Philip Webb for Willinghurst House in 1887-9. Timber framed, exposed on
left hand return front with brick infilling, galleted sandstone and brick to
front, tile hung over with some "club" pattern and canted out over ground
floor. Plain tiled roof. Two storeys, two framed bays with corbelled end
stack to left. Two diamond-pane windows on the first floor, two larger
windows below. Tudor style door to centre. Rear wing lower and extending
back. 1 storey and attic with 2 tall brick dentilled stacks. Two large
gabled wooden boarded dormers. Five small cambered head windows and one
6-light window dropping down to left through the plinth moulding. Single
storey hipped roof range to right projects. Left hand return front - garage
doors across facing forming part of stable yard with coved eaves above.
