Cottage. C15/C16 with later alterations and additions. Timber framed and weatherboarded. Thatched roof. Left red brick chimney stack. Single storey lean-to extensions to left, right and rear. One storey and attics. One gabled dormer. 2 C20 small paned casements to right of C20 gabled porch. Similar window to left lean-to, stable door to right lean-to. Internally part of the frame is visible with closely set studs, side girts and top plates. The ceilings are inserted and have stop chamfered bridging joists. Inserted repaired inglenook fireplace. The inner tie beams have been cut away and the upper part of the roof structure is now boarded thus it is not possible to assess if it is of side purlin or crown post construction. The present owners removed "black rough material" possibly sooting, by sand blasting the rafters.
