Lodge Pair, to now demolished house. 1890, with C20 extensions to rear right hand lodge, by Sir Edwin Lutyens. Coursed Bargate stone with framed gable ends; infilled with roughcast, and Horsham slab roofs. Single storey rectangular lodged at right angles to road and facing each other across cobbled road. Jettied end gable over moulded bressumer and modillioned eaves. Modillion pattern surrounding all sides of end gables. One, two-light, leaded window to each end of each lodge with baluster gateway to inner sides giving access to front of lodges, facing each other. Gate to right hand lodge now missing. Ogee curved end walls.

Entrance fronts:- One three-light leaded casement window to left of centre and door to street end on left hand lodge. Door to right of centre on right hand lodge. Barrel vaulted verandah across lodge fronts on four Doric wood columns with marked entasis and scrolls flanking capitals on panelled pedestals. Turned baluster balustrade between columns with opening to one end. Right hand lodge bears tablet inscribed "Erected by Joseph Codman 1890 With Money Taken as Prizes for Sussex Cattle". Right hand lodge being converted and extended at time of resurvey.

Walls to either side approx 8 feet high, stepping down to 7 feet with D-shaped coping and on curving plan.
