Thripskin Farm House (formerly listed as Thripskins Farmhouse)

Farmhouse. c.1600, altered and extended C19. Timber frame, roughcast.
Hipped plain-tiled roof. Three cell cross entry plan. Two storeys. Recessed C19 six
panelled doors, that to left in cross entry position is part glazed, that to
right into parlour. Cross casements to ground floor left and centre and first
floor left, part opening metal frames in left bay; ground floor right
architraved sash window, first floor centre and right 4:4 pane architraved
sashes. Ground floor hoodboards, boxed eaves. Axial ridge stack to right of
centre between hall and parlour had a panel in square foot, four conjoined
hexagonal shafts. Right end has some exposed studding with an arched brace to
tie beam; a 2-light casement and part of an original ovolo mullioned window
with intermediate small diamond mullions, first floor 4:4 pane sash. Left end
ground floor 4-light ovolo mullioned window,first floor 2-light casement. To
rear centre and left a catslide pantiled roof over a single storey and attic lean-
to addition with a C20 extruded stack, a door and glazing bar casements.
