Substantial detached house. 1895. Arnold Mitchell. Red brick, tile hanging pitched tiled roof to eaves. 2 storeys and dormers. 8 main bays wide,the outer two breaking forward to form gabled wings, each with canted two-storey bay window. Central projecting solid-sided proch with Doric columns on pedestals and rich dentil cornice, continuing above ground-floor windows. Tile hanging to upper floor. Cross mullioned windows with leaded lights to ground floor centre bays. Other windows with flush framed casements with small panes and glazing bars. Rich modillion eaves cornice to recessed centre bays, and deep eaves to other parts. Rear elevation also of interest with tall staircase windows. Interior retaining original woodwork, original inglenook, fireplaces, paired staircases, etc.
