GV II Platform shelter on island platform, 1849 for the Birkenhead Lancashire and Cheshire Junction Railway Company. Coursed rock-faced red sandstone with grey slate roofs. 1 storey, small-scale, Jacobethan. Cross-wing and long wing, detailed as former stationmaster's house and main station building, q.v.
