No 16, C15 refronted in C18. Former No 17 circa 1830. Hope Anchor Hotel early C17 refronted in C18 and altered in modern times. Two storeys and attic. Former No 17 and No 16 have one window (and one dormer), each. The end house has two windows and one dormer. Tiled roofs. No 16 has been refronted with cement grooved to imitate masonry and has a bay built out on both storeys with the glazing bars missing It has an early C19 trellised wooden porch with pointed canopy surmounted by a cap. Former No 17 is of painted brick with a bay on the ground floor only and flat hood to door. The end house is of red brick and grey headers on the ground floor and tiles above, with moulded wooden cornice between, giving the lower edge of the tiles a slight angle. Glazing bars intact.
Nos 6 to 16 (consec) The Studio Chambers, and Hope Anchor Hotel form a group.
