Circa 1772. Said to have been designed by Queen Charlotte. Timber framing filled with brick. Gabled thatched roof. Two storeys with full-height projecting central wing flanked by single storey porches, with hipped, thatched roofs. Windows mullioned and transomed in timber. Used by Queen Charlotte and the Princesses as a Summer house and kept by Queen Victoria for her own use until 1897. Central room upstairs painted by Princess Elizabeth in early C19 to represent interior of a bower.
