Details
KEEVIL MAIN STREET ST 9257 (south side) 14/154 The Weavers Cottage GV II
Detached cottage. Early C18, extended later C18. Rendered rubble stone, pantiled roof with axial brick stacks and stack to left, half-hip to right. Baffle entry. Two-storey, 4-window. Planked door in gabled porch to right of centre, 3-light casement to right, three 2-light casements to left. Plat band to right and over porch, at higher level. First floor has three 2-light casements and one single-light casement. Rear lean-to extension with 2-light casements. Interior has chamfered beam with ogee stops, blocked open fireplaces. Six-bay roof with tie-beam trusses, reused timbers. Probably two or three cottages during C19. Occupies prominent position at east end of street.
