MANSFIELD WOODHOUSE STATION STREET SK 5363 SE (south side) 6/72 Nos. 23 and 25 (Mansfield District Council Offices) G.V. II Former Chapel and Sunday School, now Mansfield District Council Offices. c.1800 and c.1820. Ashlar and dressed stone. Gabled slate and flat parapeted roofs. Rusticated lintels. Eaves band. 2 storeys, 3 plus single bays. Classical style. Square plan. Windows are glazing bar sashes. Chapel, to left, has central door case with Tuscan columns and plain hood. Panelled door with C20 flanking glazing and overlight. To left, a sash. To right, door with overlight. Above, 3 sashes, the central sash with rusticated lintel. Sunday School, to right, has a sash on each floor. Adjoining boundary wall, coursed squared rubble, has saddleback ashlar coping. Approx. 20M long. At rear, flat- roofed addition, altered C20.
