Details

MANSFIELD WOODHOUSE CHURCH STREET SK 5363 SE (west side) 6/33 No. 17 and adjoin- ing boundary wall G.V. II House. Mid C18. Coursed squared rubble and dressed stone. Welsh slate roof. Stone plinth. Single ridge and single gable stacks. 2 storeys, 3 bays. Windows are C19 and C20 glazing bar sashes. East front has central pedimented doorcase with Gibbs surround and chamfered rustication. Panelled door. Flanked by small single sashes. Beyond, single large sashes. Above, 3 large sashes. Interior has early C19 stair with landings, turned newels and stick balusters. Re-sited timber panelling in central hall. Adjoining boundary wall, dressed stone and coursed squared rubble, has ramped segmental ashlar coping. Approx. 50M long. C20 addition to right not of special interest.
