KEEVIL MAIN STREET ST 95 NW (off south side) 7/145 Six monuments in the churchyard between 0.5 and 9 metres north of chancel of Church of St Leonard GV II
Six chest tombs. Mid C18 to mid C19. Limestone. Group of three nearest the chancel all to Ferris family; south one has 2 shield panels, good attached shafts to corners and centre, scrolled decoration and cherubs to end panels, moulded cornice to flat top; inscription to Samuel died 1742. Remaining Ferris tombs have 2 fielded panels to sides, floral drop or fluted centre panel, quarter balusters and fluted friezes, north east one to Samuel died 1782 with steep weathered top, middle one to Thomas died 1765. Two Ellis tombs to James died 1803 and William died 1821; fielded or grooved panels, west one also has draped urns and floral drops, both with fluted friezes and weathered tops. Rutty tomb to north of the group; plain sides and quarter balusters, weathered top, inscription to James Rutty of Seend Park Farm, died 1850.
