5/227 Larkin headstone approx 9m south of the chancel of the Church of St Thomas A Becket GV II
Headstone. Dated 1769 in memory of Thomas Larkin and his wife. Upright sandstone slab standing approx lm high with a double shaped head. Left head is inscribed with an hourglass but any representation has worn off the right one. Inscription is Roman serif upper and lower case lettering and is divided into 2 columns over a prayer. The left column records the death of Mrs Larkin (her christian name is illegible) in 1748 and the right one records the death of her husband Thomas in 1769.
