ATWORTH BRADFORD ROAD ST 8665 (south side) 12/27 Manor Farmhouse with front walls and gates 13.11.62 GV II
Farmhouse. Early C18; dated 17-1 on rainwater heads. Limestone ashlar, concrete interlocking tiles, saddleback coped verges, ashlar stacks. Two-storey and attic over basement, 5-window. Central double doors with fielded panels, segmental-headed architrave with keystone and flat stone hood, sidelights and two 18-pane segmental-headed sashes either side. Basement has two 2- light cyma-mullioned windows either side of semi-circular steps. Moulded string course to first floor; central segmental headed 24- pane sash with 18-pane sash and blind window either side. Left return has blocked basement mullioned window, blocked doorway and 8-pane fixed window with dripstone to ground and first floor, 6- pane attic window. Right return has 8-pane sashes and 2-light attic casement. 1860s rear wing and single-storey extensions. K Lead rainwater heads with initials A E; Anthony and Elizabeth Kingston. Interior not accessible at time of survey (November 1986), but said to retain original features. Attached to front are good rubble stone walls with swept flat coping, central gatepiers with panelled sides, moulded capping and volutes to walls, C19 double cast-iron gates.
