NZ 62SE SKELTON AND BROTTON SALTBURN LANE (off west side), Skelton 1/37 Stable, coach-house, coachman's hut and screen 8.10.75 wall, adjoining east end of Rushpool Hall.

Stable, coach-house, coachman's hut and screen wall, 1862-63, for John Bell, ironmaster. Rockfaced Cleveland ironstone with sandstone ashlar dressings. Plain clay tiled roofs. High Victorian Gothic. "L"-plan stable and coach-house range on north and west sides of stable yard. Buttressed and banded screen wall completes enclosure on south and east sides. Coachman's hut inside entrance in east wall. Ornamental timber bellcote with crocketed spirelet, at north-west angle of stable. Included for group value.
