Retaining wall, rails, gates and stable yard wall of No 17 ST 9961 2/120A

2. Low stone retaining wall across front of house square section wrot iron spear head rails and similar central gates with dog rails between square stone piers with oval panel treatment (restored) crowned with very fine carved stone balls, leaf pattern ornament. Wrot iron scroll overthrow. The stables have brick wall to front of yard and separating yard from house front, swept up to house wall and terminated on street front with square rusticated stone pier with ball finial, similar to central piers.
All the listed buildings on the South West side, South East Side, Market Hall, Market Cross and the Fountain form a group.
Also all the listed buildings on the South West Side form a group with Nos 1 to 18 (consec) Northgate Street.
