Boatyard Foreman's Cottage
II
Cottage orné, Circa 1860 with later additions. Painted vertical boarding
with cover strips onto a timber frame. Corrugated asbestos roof replacing
thatch. Single storey with attic. 3-bay facade with Gothick 2-light Y-
traceried windows flanking 2-centred arched doorway. Gabled open porch with
shaped brackets and ornamental barge boards. Gable-end with 2 lancet
windows and ornamental barge boards. Tall central brick chimney shaft with
raised vertical strips. Later single storey extensions set back on right
hand (east) side and at rear.
