TG 1323 CAWSTON HIGH STREET (south) 11/42 19/1/52 The Bell. (Formerly listed as Bell Inn) G.V. II Public House, C18, refronted in C19, colourwashed brick and pantiles. Semi- detached, 'L'-shaped plan of 2 storeys. 3 windows, with C20 central door and ground floor casement windows with glazing bars. Central blank window. Dentil eaves course, partially re-built curved gable to right with end stack. Rear wing not of special interest. C18 corner cupboard in bar. Date of 1720 on gable. Included for group value.
