TG 1323 CAWSTON HIGH STREET (north) 11/39 15/4/77 Nos. 14, 16 and 18.
G.V. II
3 terraced houses, C18 with C19 fronts of rendered brick with pantiled roof. Of 2 storeys with 2 storey outshut at rear. Original house divided and extended to the west. The eastern section of 2 identical facades each of 3 bays defined by pilasters forming recessed panels. Wide central 'pilaster' containing the door with semi-circular fanlight with glazing bars. Doors have panels with semi-circular ends formed with raised-timber beads. Plinth and moulded string course. Sash windows with glazing bars. At first floor level between the 2 houses a sun-dial with inscription. Parapet gables, central axial stack and end stack, C19, with separate square plan shafts. Western range (No. 18) 3 bays, defined by plain pilasters forming recessed panels. Moulded string course at first floor level and moulded plaster cornice at eaves. Central door and mullion and transom casement windows have straight heads with hood moulds. Parapet gable with internal stack to west.
