Terrace of 3 houses. Part of a planned estate, built between 1843 and 1850 by John Snell. Italianate style . Built of stock brick with slate roof and 2 stock brick chimney stacks. 2 storeys, attics and basement. 2 windows to Guildford Road, 7 windows to St Barnabas Villas. No 34 has 2 gabled dormers and 3 sashes with marginal glazing to 1st floor in stuccoed surrounds. Ground floor has 2 sashes with verticals only with cornices on brackets and brackets below cills. Porch with round-headed windows. 1 similar window to return. Nos 1 & 2 St Barnabas Villas have 3 sashes with marginal glazing to 1st floor in stuccoed surrounds and ground floor has 2 sashes with verticals only, cornices with brackets and brackets below cills. Stuccoed round headed porches with moulded cornices with brackets, side-lights and flight of steps with cast iron baulustrading. Stuccoed bracket eaves cornice and plinth. Cast iron spear railings. Nos 36 Guildford Road together with Nos 3 & 4 St Barnabas Villas are identical but a mirror image. These 2 terraces form a vista to Lansdowne Gardens.
