Details

The following building shall be added:-

TQ 3070 Guildersfield Road Streatham 39/946 St Andrew's Church Hall II GV

Church hall. 1898 by Ernest George who built the adjoining St Andrews Church and Vicarage in 1885-6. Vernacular revival style. Built of red brick in English bond with tiled roof. Curved gable to street with 3 3-tier mullioned and transomed casements, most retaining leaded lights, with trefoil ornaments above. Flat roofed porch to front with semi-circular gable with motto "St Andrew's Church Room". 3 casement windows to ground floor (boarded up at time of survey) and double doors with 6 fielded panels. Right side elevation has massive 18 light flat roofed dormer and 4 5-light cambered casements. Left side elevation has similar 18-light dormer and pilasters. 2-storey section to rear with chimney, entrance up stone steps with 3-light corner leaded light glazing and round-headed arched doorcase to semi-basement. Interior has timber framed roof with ogee braces.
