2. House, 1933-4 by Serge Chermayeff for Mrs E W Shann. Of monolithic concrete, painted white. International modern style. Rectangular plan. 2 storeys. Flat roof. Horizontal bands of metal-framed casement windows. Entrance beneath plain flat hood. Circular cantilevered balcony with metal handrail projecting from one corner.
