Farmhouse. C16, altered C17, enlarged one bay west C19, refenestrated late C19 and mid C20. Random rubble local stone with cob in rear wall, pantiled roof, roughcast stack left of through passage and right gable end, corrugated iron sheeting to barn adjoining south-west and store room adjoining east. Plan: facing south and built into hillside, open hall probably ceiled to 3-cell and cross passage with stair turret opening out of hall, inner room unheated extended one bay west with barn adjoining corner, outbuilding at east gable end. Two storeys, 2:2 bays, all late C19 and mid C20 windows, first floor left unlit in addition, ground floor C20 door with porch in addition left two 3-light casements below wooden lintels, C19 porch altered C20 to through passage, C20 window beyond. Interior: evidence of jointed cruck truss roof, changes in floor levels, unusual double convex moulded beams in east end bedroom, ovolo moulded doorframe to hall, C20 grates, chamfered beams with various stops. An interesting farmhouse behind a much altered facade. (VAG Report, unpublished SRO, August 1982).
