Detached farmhouse. C17 origins, modified including raising of roof, possibly in C19. Local lias stone cut and squared;
thatched roof with plain gables; stone and brick chimney stacks. Two storeys, 3 bays irregular fenestration. Two-light
C20 casement windows; lower bays 1 and 2 have hood moulds, the remainder timber lintels; between bays 2 and 3 a
projecting stone and thatched porch with reused early boarded door in heavy frame. lnterior not seen, but reported is a
cross-passage between hall chimney and the kitchen screens, leading into a linhay alongside a lower service wing.
Attached to south west corner a farm building in lias stone with clay pantiled roof, replacing thatch, between stepped
toped gables; lean-to on east side; doors at two levels on south gable. (VCH, vol III, 1974).
