HADLOW CHURCH STREET Balcombe headstone approximately 10 metres south of the nave of the Church of St Mary

GV II Headstone. Dated 1796 in memory of Mary Balcombe. Sandstone. Upright slab standing approximately 650mm high with shaped head. The head is enriched with calligraphic-style scrolls. The inscription opens in Gothic lettering, the rest is Roman serif upper and lower case and records the death of Mary Balcombe in 1796.
