Details
GLASTON MANOR LANE SK 8800-8900 7/42 10.11.55 Barn 40 m to E of No 6 (formerly listed under Manor Farmhouse and barn dated 1741). GV II
Barn. Dated E? 1741 on barely legible plaque in right gable. Coursed limestone rubble, Collyweston slate roof, coped gables with roll moulding at each apex. 5 bays. Central cart entry with wooden lintel; vent slits to left and rear; lean-to with pantile roof to right. Right gable end has blocked window and panelled plaque with moulded cornice. All openings have bonded jambs with large limestone blocks. Similar quoin blocks. Roof has collar and tie-beam trusses and double butt purlins.
