Barn. Early-mid C17 with C18 alteration. Timber-framed, clad in tarred weatherboarding, with some areas of tarred concrete blockwork. Roof pantiled to south, the north slope clad in corrugated asbestos sheeting. 2 gabled porches to south with various later additions. 8-bay frame, formerly aisled. A small part of the south aisle remains in the easternmost bay, remainder of both aisles removed C18. Side walls have original straight braces from jowled posts to former arcade plates and an infilling of C18 oak studding, mostly missing below the mid rail. The 2 cart entrance porches, in bays 3 and 7 from the west, have heavy jowled doorposts, Presumably original. 6 of the 7 tie beams retain original arched braces to the main posts; the central tie beam, where the original braces are missing, shows evidence for a former studded partition. Good intact roof: one row of clasped purlins, no principal rafters, slightly cambered collars, complete 2-way arched wind bracing.
