TQ 2683 SE CITY OF WESTMINSTER ST JOHN'S WOOD TERRACE NW8 12/36 Nos 3 to 6 (consec.) 6.4.82 G.V. II Terraced houses, No. 3 with shop. c. 1830, Portland Estate development. Stock brick with stucco ground floors, channelled at Nos 3 and 4; slate roofs. 3 storeys. 2- window wide fronts. Semi-circular arched doorways to left; panelled doors with decorated knocker roundels and fanlights. Nos 4 and 6 with pilaster-jambs carrying entablature doorhead; No. 3 has bow fronted plain mid C 19 shop front. Recessed glazing bar sashes, under flat gauged arches to upper floors. Plat band over ground floor stuccowork and crowning stucco cornice and blocking course. 1st floor windows have cast iron "Chinese" pattern balconettes. Part of the same long terrace as Nos 9 to 23 consec qv.
