Former farmhouse, now detached private house. Early Cl9, built in
late C17 style, altered slightly in early C20. Roughcast faced on
stone plinth with first floor stone sill band, stone slate roof
with coped gables and ball finials, scattered stone stacks.
Single front range with central rear gable and 2 rear ranges
forming U-shape, 2 storeys and attic. South front has 3 gables,
each with 2-light leaded stone mullion with square hoodmould to
apex and 16-pane sash with square hoodmould to first floor.
Ground floor has 2 larger 16-pane sashes, flanking central Cl9
gabled porch and inner double half-glazed doors with decorative
radial fanlight in chamfered stone surround. Right hand return
has 16-pane sashes in plain architrave and one 3-light casement
below small gable, small single-storey wing of C20 not of special
interest. Left hand return has 2-storey bay and metal casement
fenestration with square hoodmoulds of C20.
Interior is largely intact with reeded doorcases with corner
motifs, some panelling, especially in hall with ramped stick
baluster stair, plasterwork, doors and shutters.
