2. Earlier C19. Cooke and Sons Engineers Melton. Cast iron bridge over former Melton Canal. Balustrade with Gothic arches, arched at top and bottom, singly and in pairs. Canal elevations both have centre fine scrolled bracket and panelled base, south side has makers name and date on plaque. Octagonal end piers with band and polygonal cap. Piers to towpaths, those on north side shorter. South side has additional gate piers. Shown on map of 1839 as 'Navigation Bridge'.
