MARE STREET E8 1. 5013 (West Side) -------------- No 195 (The New Lansdowne Club) TQ 3484 25/378 24.4.51. II*

2. Early C18 with alterations. 3 storeys and basement, 5 windows. Parapet front, 1st and 2nd floor bands. Ground floor entirely of original brown brick with bright red dressings. 1st and 2nd floor brickwork largely rebuilt although using old bricks, and in correct style. Cambered arches to sash windows with glazing bars in exposed wood architraves. 6-panel door, with cornice head and plain fanlight, in narrow moulded architrave. Doric doorcase with engaged columns, triglyph frieze and open pediment with mutules. 4 steps up. House is of 2 spans with side and rear brickwork better preserved than front.
