2. 4 symmetrical blocks of mid-late C19 houses, 4 to a block of 2 storeys and attic, 8 windows, the 3rd and 6th being in 2-storey canted bays. Yellow brick with stucco dressings. Entablature and blocking course above 1st floor. Over this a raised attic, with pitched roof and arcaded glazing, well set back. At ends atticO brought forward over 2 bays, and finished with bracketed cornice. There is a central pediment with tall chimney above. Plain sash windows, those on ground and 1st floors with shouldered moulded lintels. Half-glazed doors, with tall rectangular fanlights, in quasi-classical surrounds.
Nos 24 to 54 (even) form a group with Nos 2 to 56(even) Bethune Road and their forecourt walls.
