Details
1. CLAPTON SQUARE E5 5013 (West Side) -------------------- Nos 10 to 13 (consec) TQ 3485 19/17 II GV
2. Early C19 terrace, each house 3 storeys attic and basement, 2 windows. Mansard roofs, Nos 10 and 11 tiled, the others slated, with dormers. Stock brick with stone-coped parapet. Gauged flat brick arches to windows, mostly sashes with glazing bars, some lost bars. No 11 has long casements with transoms on 1st and ground floors. Ornamental cast iron balconies on ground floors (except No 2). Ground floor windows round headed in round arched recesses. Doors of Nos 1O and 12 altered, others of 6 panels, all flanked by slender reeded engaged columns supporting cornice head with plain fanlight over. Nos 1, 12 and 3 have wrought iron area railings.
The railings, Nos 7 to 19 (consec) together with No 13A form a group with No 17 Lower Clapton Road.
