YARWELL MAIN STREET TL0697 (South side) 14/238 Mullions 23/05/67 (Formerly listed as The Cottage) GV II House, C17, C18 and C19. Squared coursed limestone with Collyweston slate roof. Originally 2-unit plan with cross passage. Single storey with attic, and 2 storeys. 5-window range. 2-window range, to right, is C17 and has a 2-storey, 5-light, canted bay window with ovolo moulded stone mullions and ashlar gablet with parapets and kneelers. Similar 3-light stone mullion window, to ground floor right, and similar attic window set in stone eaves dormer with ashlar parapets and kneelers. All stone mullion windows have hood moulds. 3-window range, to left, of C19 casement windows under eaves at first floor. 2 plain C20 casement windows at ground floor under renewed wood lintels. C20 door, to centre, has C17 moulded stone surround with square-head. Eaves on 2 levels, ashlar gable parapets, to left, and brick and ashlar stacks at ridge and end. 2-light stone mullion windows to rear. Interior: rooms to left and right of entrance have open fireplaces with bressumers. Cross-passage rooms at back of central stack. 3 bays, to left of main front, remodelled C19 and subdivided to form 2 dwellings.
