15.4.69 Arcade forming South Western quarter of circle and avenue GV II*
Arcade. 1839-40. Benjamin Baud. Round arched rusticated stone arcade with brick back intended for fixing of memorial plaques. Arcade breaks forward at intervals with Doric columns. Flight of steps down into catacombs to centre of quadrant. Cast iron gates with symbols of death. Forms part of unified layout with chapel and other arcades.
