HIGH STREET TQ 7555 NW (north west ride) 1/10004 No 35 GV II

Shop, formerly house. C16 timber-framed building refronted in early C19 and with fine later C19 shopfront. Exterior clad in stucco with slate roof and stock brick chimneystack. 3 storeys; 1 window. Second floor window concealed by large curved and rectangular advertisement board, first floor window is mid-C19 sash with marginal glazing. Ground floor has late-C19 shopfront with deep fascia with name "Reynolds" and scrollwork decoration, curved shopwindow and pilasters. Interior ground floor has C16 roll-moulded ceiling exposed above C20 false ceiling. C18 winder staircase. First floor front room has late C16 frame with curved tension brace, 2-inch chamfered beam with run-out stop and 3-plank door. Further curved brace and jowled post visible. No access to second floor or roof.
