Stable, outbuilding and privy
immediately north-west of
Norton House

GV
II

Former stable, store and privy. Early C18 with additions of early C19 and
late C19. Conglomerate sandstone blocks brought to course; slate roofs,
stone base courses to south flank; red brick lean-to addition to north.
Two bays, aligned east/west; entered from north to lower part and from
west gable to store room loft due to fall in ground. West gable end has
a window in the gable. The most prominent feature is however in the brick
extension: a Gothic lunette divided into three parts by wooden mullions.
Early C19 lower lean-to stable extension to east has gable-end doorway with
rounded upper corners. At the north-west corner is an early C19 square-plan
privy.
