House, divided as cottages (perhaps always 2 cottages). C16 or early C17
altered in part. Freestone front, stone slate roof. Coped verges with
pyramidal finials. Large end stacks, ashlar to right. 2 storeys; 2
windows each, No 1 converted c.1800 to glazing bar sashes with timber
lintels, 6-panel door also of c.1800 to left of centre, upper 2 panels
glazed. No 2 has rebated hollow chamfer mullion windows with drips, 3-
light on 1st floor. 4-light on ground floor. Tudor arch doorway to left
of centre with panelled spandrels and drip, ledged door. Interior of No 2
has a large Tudor-arched fireplace with panelled spandrels; the street
level is considerable higher than floor level.
