Detached house. Probably early C17, date of 1640 on interior panelling; altered C19 and C20. Timber-frame with close-studded panels, brick and rendered infil; the left part is wholly rendered; plain tiled roof; C19 brick stack off-centre to left and rear stack. L-plan. Single storey and garrets. 2 bays: two C20 3-light casements to left, bracketted out 4-light casement with ovolo moulded mullions at right. Moulded jetty across right side and part of left. Central 2 storey porch also with moulded jetty; ovolo and ogee moulded outer doorway and inner studded plank door with strap hinges and in a moulded surround. Plain rear wing. Interior: Right room: bolection moulded fire surround; C18 fielded panelling; corner china cupbard under a segmental head and with cut shelves; arcaded overmantel; date of 1640 and carved frieze. (RCHM, Vol II, 1932).
