4/96 Stable and cow house attached to north-west - side of Maes-coed Farmhouse

GV II

Stable and cow house. Probably late C18. Coursed rubble, weatherboards, stone slate roof. Four bays oriented north-west/south-east. North eleva- tion has weatherboards to upper part of centre and right, 3-light C18 diamond section wooden mullioned window under segmental head to stable at left hand side, 2 evenly-spaced loft openings; ledged doors: that for stable to left hand side is under segmental head, 4 for access to cow house are distributed from centre to right, paired to outer right. The overall effect is one of rough symmetry with a pair of doors at each end of the elevation and relatively isolated door in centre; weatherboards are however positioned on the first floor to contradict this disposition. Interior not inspected.
