2. No longer used as such. C16 with C17 and C18 as well as modern modifications. Timber framed, plastered. Overhanging 1st floor on west side. Some original windows and leaded lights, transom and mullion. Renewed tiles. 2 storey and attic, 3 dormers and gable end windows. Mid C19 Tudor type gabled porch and door. The interior has lost practically all original features. Suckling mentions John Argall, rector in 1580 as "pre-eminent for learning" and "a very ingenious actor of plays particularly distinguishing himself when Queen Elizabeth was there (at Oxford) in 1566". Richard Whately, later Archbishop of Dublin, was Rector in 1822.
