SOUTHERNHAY EAST 1. 1092 Nos 27 and 28 SX 9292 NW 3/425 29.1.53 II GV 2. Late C18, 3 storey, red brick pair with 3-centred arch to entry in centre. Burnt headers to brickwork, modillion cornices. Shutters to some windows. No 27 has glazing-bars removed, No 28 has small iron balconies to 1st floor. Good doorcases with fanlights and fluted entablatures. Six-panel doors with raised and fielded panels. Slate roof. Railings. Nos 15 to 28 (consec), Nos 30 to 36 (consec), Nos 38 to 40 (consec), Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital, Nos 45, 46 and No 52 form a group.
