Bridge over River Windrush (that part in Burford C.P.)

Bridge. C15 in origin, heavily remodelled 1791 and restored in C20,
widened either 1791 or in C20. Rubble with ashlar parapet. Somewhat
irregular plan. 4 segmental arches, 3 with chamfered inner order; pointed
break-waters, string, 4 foot parapet with weathered coping. Short
sections of causeway to North and South - rubble with chamfered capping,
on east side ramped up to form garden wall of Mouseham (q.v. Fulbrook
C.P.)
This asset was previously listed twice. The duplicate record (List entry number 1300961) was removed from the List on 05 March 2019. The remaining record (List entry number 1267151) falls within the parishes of Burford and Fulbrook.
