5/16 Norwood Cottage
G.V. II
Cottage. Early C17 with C18 extension and later alterations. Roughcast. Originally timber framed. Pantile roof. Single left external gable and ridge stacks. Removed right external gable stack. Raised right gable with slate coping. Single storey plus attic, 4 bays. The left single bay being C17 originally a single cell cottage. Doorway with part glazed door. To the left are 2 glazing bar Yorkshire sashes and to the right a single, similar, smaller sash. Over all the openings are segmental projecting rendered lintels. In the attic are 2 box dormers each with single glazing bar Yorkshire sash. To the rear is a lean-to extension. Interior contains many beams and also a post and wall plate.
