GREAT TEY BUCKLEYS LANE 1. 5214 Gulls Farmhouse TL 82 SE 10/2 II* GV 2. C15 house of 2 storeys, timber framed and clad with weatherboards. Roof ridged and gabled pegtiled with early hexagonal single chimney shaft of red brick in centre of front slope and red brick C18 chimney stacks against each end wall. Range of 4 modern casements on first storey and of 3 similar on ground storey with modern front door towards west end. Inside a heavy oaken frame with incapsulated crown-post roof - soot caked - and prominent Tudor arch-braces and door heads. Boldly chamfered common-joists, diamond mullioned window spaces. Formerly an open hall with intruded first floor. Evidence of 2 cross-wings in roof forming an H-plan house of wealthy Yeoman status. Named in its Deeds as: Broadgores, Angevins and Shatbolts.
