Details

REDLAM 1. 861 SP/681 No 187 II 2. House.c 1812. Flemish bond brick, stone detailing, pitched Welsh slate roof with gable end stack. Rectangular plan with symmetrical 3-storey facade and basement. Entrance centre bay reached by 6 stone steps to street flanked by part survival of front wall, railings and step railing in wrought iron included in the listing. 6-panel original door below altered fan light set in plain stone frame within plain square headed, corniced porch with Doric attached column jambs on square bases attached to recessed brick surround. All fenestration altered with stone sills and wedge lintels. Interior not inspected. Built for James Wilcock, a local calico manufacturer. The warehouse was formerly to the rear.
